LEEDS UNITED RMC OF VICTORIA (AUSTRALIA)

Dear Leeds Fan,

Recently what was formally known as the Leeds United Supporters Club of Victoria has officially become the Leeds United Regional Members Club of Victoria (Australia). We have finally officially linked up with the club and this ensures many benefits including direct contact with the club and increased benefits for our members.

Right now is a trying time on the pitch with Leeds still stuck in League One but an impressive start to the season has us believing this is the year! At this point in time, languishing in th
e third tier of English football, it’s time for all Leeds fans down under to unite as one and become part of the first official Leeds United Members Club Australia has seen!

To become an official Member of the Leeds United Regional Members Club of Victoria (Australia) a fee of approximately $40.00 is made payable to the club via the official website. For this payment, your benefits include the following:

- International Flag (normal sized flag) which says Leeds United International Member
- International Leeds United Members Keyring
- One month’s Leeds United TV free subscription
- Bi monthly Leeds United Newsletter mailed to you
- The right to vote at our AGM
- Priority booking for home games
- Ability to apply and secure away game tickets (through club liaison)
- Ability to vote for our player of the Year

- 15% discount on matchday programme subscription

Your money is going 100% to Leeds United and the benefits far outweigh the cost. Not just for members who are heading over, but also ones who stay in Australia. Discounted LUTV is a huge step in the right direction, discount at the superstore and the fact that we have direct interaction with the club are benefits that our members have asked for in surveys completed.

So, here’s how to sign up!

Step 1: Visit the following link: http://www.leedsunited.com/page/InternationalMembership/0,,10273,00.html

Step 2: Sign up for an International Membership. This should be approximately $40.00

Step 3: Once you have signed up, you will recieve a unique member number. Email that unique member number and your full name to our Club Liaison James Willoughby at jwilloughby26@gmail.com

Step 4: Your name and number will then be passed onto Leeds United FC and you will become affiliated with the Leeds United RMC of Victoria (Australia).

Step 5: Wait for your goodies to arrive in the post and sit back and relax!

Leeds United’s International Membership closes on the 31st of October, with a month’s break before the club will launch an Extra-Time Membership which will cover the remainder of the 2009/10 season and all of the 2010/11 season.

As a special offer, if you sign up before the 31st of October to become an International Member and therefore a member of the Leeds United RMC of Victoria (Australia) you will go into the draw to win a signed 2009/10 away shirt, signed by the entire playing squad. This offer is only available to those who have signed up before the end of October. Extra-Time membership will also see you linked with the Leeds United RMC of Victoria (Australia) but this isn’t available until the 1st of December so get signed up ASAP if possible!

It is not compulsory to pay a fee and sign up to become a member of the Leeds United RMC of Victoria (Australia). Regardless of whether you become a member or not, you will still remain on the database we currently have and be invited to functions/pub meets for matches etc. All people on the database will also receive a copy of the first edition of the club’s Newsletter, before it becomes Members Only. We would like to encourage you to sign up however as your money is going 100% to the club and we have worked hard at getting the best possible benefits for our members.

Finally, we are working hard at planning a fundraising evening in Melbourne scheduled for February 2010 in order to raise funds to sponsor a Leeds United player next season. If you have any items that you wish to donate for auction, please email our Club Liaison James Willoughby at jwilloughby26@gmail.com . Further details will follow via e-mail.

Congratulations to Nigel Shearer, Dave McCabe, Ryan Prowd, Paul Wilkins, Ian Trinder, Harry Sachar, Sam Gibbard, Peter Kehoe and Jonathan Kelly for being the inaugural members of the first official Leeds United Members Club in Australia. We look forward to adding many names to that list over the course of the next few weeks.
